9s Studios is proud to present its third exhibition of the year—an exciting graffiti-inspired show curated in creative partnership with artist and curator Cory Lee Stowers. This dynamic collaboration draws from Cory’s personal collection and artist network, bringing bold street art sensibilities into the heart of Easton’s Arts & Entertainment District.

We’re thrilled to welcome Cory to 9s Studios and look forward to unveiling the full lineup of contributing artists soon. Stay tuned!

Cory shares on his website :

I am an award-winning cultural anthropologist, visual artist, and author from Washington, DC. My diverse expertise spans education, music, film, and scholarly writing. I am a celebrated muralist, graffiti artist, graphic designer, and curator who has contributed to dozens of regional public art projects.

In addition to my artistic pursuits, I founded ART B.L.O.C. DC (Art Building Longevity in Our Community) - an art consultancy providing design and marketing solutions to its clients. I am known for creating interactive public mural installations using technology to tell stories and communicate identity and values.

Since 2021, I have served as the Executive Director for DC Murals, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization documenting and archiving the city's murals since 1997. I have curated several exhibits, including the 14th Street Graffiti Museum and Aerosoul - Murals for Our Time. Recently, I curated the exhibit To The East - The Rise of Public Murals for the Phillips Collection.

I am also an author who has written academic papers on street culture. My unwavering passion for public art and community building has earned me a reputation as a respected culture worker and voice in the city.

“Graffiti was my first experience in the world of art and has remained a passion of mine for years. The forging of self-identity through the painting of a name is a truly empowering experience. I return to this practice periodically to remain connected to my creative roots.”- Cory Lee Stowers
